Welcome to Ni Hai Acupuncture!
The leaves are changing colors and the weather is getting wet and cold. Be sure to bundle up and especially keep the back of your neck and shoulders covered. Drink plenty of good water, eat whole foods, exercise, wash your hands frequently and do not touch your face! Help your immune system with "Quail Soup" (recipe will be posted soon), take vitamin D3, gargle with warm salt water, as well as using a Neti pot or swabbing nasal passages. Get enough rest and manage your stress!
Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AOM) has been used by people for thousands of years and is becoming recognized as an alternative or adjunctive therapy to Western Medicine. Chinese medical philosophy describes disease and pain as being due to an imbalance or blockage of energy or Qi circulating in the body. Acupuncture restores the free flow of Qi and helps the body correct any imbalances.
During an acupuncture treatment, thin sterile needles are inserted at specific points on the body. The Licensed Acupuncturist selects these points according to the patient's presentation. Each treatment is tailored to the individual's need. AOM focuses on treating the underlying cause of the imbalance or blockage, as well as relieving the symptoms. .
